Evaluation

As I had done a cooking show I found it simple on a few parts.  I used my own kitchen. My original idea was that I was going to have 4 people helping me. But most games shows keep the host and contestant talking to one another.  I felt like I needed to shorten the amount of people in the show, as I had to write up the lines for most of them. There was also the case where some people just didn't have the time to be recorded for the show which why I deiced to shorten the cast to my self and two others. My inspiration for the game show was a show like the weakest link. 

I would only be able to record on weekdays as the location where I always needed and only record would be at school, as I needed a green to make a game show studio in the background. I had three cameras each forcing on the center and the other would focus on center and the left or right direction. 

 As I decided that my location will always take place inside school than i would always be using artificial lighting since I'm inside a build and most game shows also use artificial lighting in their shows. 

All the equipment’s and props that I needed were all provided from the school. As I was making a game show and was the host I tried to look a little smart by wearing back suit. This is so it would imply I have money to have and I am wealthy which most hosts come off as. I also used two buzzers as props for the contestant. This is was so that they would be able to answer question as soon and they thought which one they wanted and to better have sense that they were confidence in giving their answer. 

My overall goal was for my video was to reach last at least 8 minutes of recording.  My game show was suppose to be a general knowledge quiz on anything as I also wanted my audience to be informed on interesting facts about the world we live to movies etc. I tried to make as many random questions as possible to get a variety of facts. 

After all my clips I needed for my games show was done I started editing on final cut pro.  I first started by using a parody intro of a game show. I would than use one of the teachers at my school that sounded professional as a narrator to introduce the audience to the game show that I had created. I also added in various audiences voices in the background to add in comedic affect laughing when there’s a joke be told at specific moments of conversations. At the very end of the video I also added the cast of the people that help make this video came.

Weekly production log 5

On the fifth week of my making my video had started recording late, as that was going to be the time my parent would get back from work. I had decided to let my parent do be the one recoding with the camera as I had no one else to help me at the time and I was running art out time. I gave some instructions on how 

I would only have one chance and trying to make this so I had to try and make this look like a cooking such as much as possible. I had to remove a lot of stuff from my kitchen so it would better suit the theme of a cooking show before I started recording. 

Once I had finished recording the very next day I had started editing my video together. I didn't make sure to check all the clips for my video. As my mom was cording I realized how many errors there where such as camera angle to how close the camera was to me some times it would be too far or way or too close. Lucky I had many clips and needed to cut out a few bits, as the cameraman decided to talk even though specifically said not to. So some clips needed to be cut out or it would have looked very unprofessional I also stopped focusing at some points.

On the fourth week I had also planned who should be the camera man. and what types of equipment I should use in my cooking show. I only needed one person to record me doing the cooking show  as I would be moving some times and I needed someone to focus on the look of the food while I preparing it. I had asked one of my class mates to anitally be the camera man for the video but they were not available and was running out of time to make my video for the cooking show.

For my third week I had my mom teach me how to cook my favorite type of food. This was so I can do my very own cooking show and be the host in my cooking show.  As I barely had any experience in cooking I had been helping my mom with cooking after school as much as possible a variety of foods. This was also the time when I had redone my script and to suit the cooking show in steps to provide the audience with information. As my mum helped me with the dinner I wanted in my cooking show. I had written how on how to to do and how I would go about talking init when comes to me being  recorded.

On the second week I had to decided that the location we be taking place completely  in the school as it would be most were I spend the week days. Its also was where I can  use most of the schools equipment. This back fired and I changed my plans instead to doing the cooking show in stead. I didn't competely

On the first I wanted do a game show was excited on getting started. I first had a focus where I talked all about my idea and what I had planned to do on my game show. I said how I had 3 solid ideas not only for the game show, but also a cook showing and as runner up a book review. I talked about my location and would set for each and every one of them. I also talked about the advantage and disadvantage of doing each and everyone of them along with post production log on how I would edit my video and what I would add. I needed to consider the costume I would wear in the game show and the people that were available on help me in my video.
