Unit 37 Prop list

As my presentation will be a cooking show I will have the following props 2 pans and 2 bots in order to cook. I will also need one wooden spoon in order to stir food and ingredients together. I will also need a sieve in order to drain all the hot water from the pasta once I am done boiling it.  The ingredients I'll use will be tomato and basil sauce so that the pasta can taste better. Some of the ingredient I will need to buy would be sausages and smoking beacon. Last but not least I will need a camera to record my cooking show.

Unit 37 Location Recee

The location will  be held in my kitchen  only and no where else when recording the video. To edit my video together I will be at school as thats where I can edit and put my video together,

Unit 37 Risk assessment

My presentation may have some risks when I am filming my presentation so I have made a checklist of the probability that people may hurt them selves I am using the health and safety regulation. As my presentation is going to be filmed in my kitchen there might be a low risk that no body gets hurt but my self as I will be the one to cook.  Since I will have a camera as a cast including my self as a member almost no one would get hurt.

I will have 1 camera filming in my kitchen but I have to be care where I set it for example the edge of a table because if the camera was to drop and get damage it will result me having to pay the school back of for the broken equipment. I also might accidentally cut my self when cutting food for the food I shall be making along with burning my self when cooking. 

Unit 37 Pitch proposal presentation

In my Presentation pitch I talked about my three proposals. My presentation proposal was game show, chat show and cooking show. I talked about some of the verbal and visual techniques that would contain each of my presentation proposals. I also discussed with two of my classmates also how I will be dressed for each of my presentation and how it would fit each of the themes of my presentations. I said how much people I have in my presentations as well and how I still need to know peoples scuffle in order for me to know when everyone is available so I can make sure I have the right people in my presentations. 

I talked  about how I would have eye contact with camera along how I would speak formally or non formally.  I also spoke about my tone of voice.  I have planned where all my presentations will take place.  I said how my chat  show along with my game show will be in a class from as I need to find a studio. 

Overall I think I covered most of my topics only a few I left put for example as a game am I going to have a reward.

Unit 37 Presentation roles and techniques

News presenter 

The BBC news is a UK news studio, which informs the audience by TV. The job is to get out news to the UK public on some the least things happening around the world or even in the UK. As the BBC news is a news studio it is only natural that for the studio to act professional at all times. As the news is taken seriously by most people it wouldn't make sense for a news studio to be informing the audience while making jokes than the news wouldn't be as informative as it should be.  This is why the BBC hires professional who know what they are doing which is why the BBC news is so popular.  The people at the BBC news always use formal language when after speaking and never speak in slang as the context wouldn't match with the BBC news.

Chat shows

The Jeremy Kyle show is a chat show, which deals in people’s relationship, and there are always two or more people arguing amounts each other for the people predicament for the audience’s entertainment. Since The Jeremy Kyle show is a chat show it is only nature for the people in show to act how they want. Unlike the presenter the people on chat act natural feelings so the audience gain some kind of reliability with someone down to earth with drama problems which The Jersey Kyle show exactly presents.  Chat shows like The Jeremy Kyle are not done by profession like the news presenters it's more down to earth and because of that the host of The Jeremy Kyle can simply walk off the stage with the camera still recording him and Kyle gives his opinion without a sentence structure he simple says what he thinks and also some times has a high ton of voice.

Game shows

The weakest link is a quiz game shows, which has nine contestants going up against each for one of them to win £10,000.  The game tests the knowledge of the contestants and is a pretty straightforward show, which seems to be done professionally. It is clear that the host has sentence structure as they always say the same thing for each episode except the actual quiz them selves. As the weakest link tests the knowledge of contestant it is only normal for the host to use a wide rang of breadth vocabulary to make the contestant think and make the game even harder for them to actually answer questions for them to win the £10,000.

Life style programmes

Keep up with the Kardashians is a TV show about a family called the Kardshians which has the Kardashians going about their daily lives while a camera records them in public. As it is showing a life of someone and what they going through to see what it is like to be someone for day.  The recoding is done comply naturally and nothing is forced making realists which is why the context can pretty much be anything but Professional which means it would contain sentence structure and most likely won't have breadth vocabulary.  The show Keep up with the Kardashians contexts are tone of voice as the Kardashians can rise their voice when they want if they were for example get into a verbal augment and it also contains a lot of facial expressions showing many emotions.

Documentary 

National geographic is a documentary the way some animals live it is expository which only has a narrator speaking throughout the show while video are people shown to the audience and the narrator explaining what is happening. This would be aimed at people that love animals and like to informed and learn new things.  The narrator uses sentence structure throughout the show with a soft tone of voice as well. The physical gestures are shown by the actions of the animals and insects in the video while the narrator talks.
